It showed New Hanover County kids, 11-, 12-, and 13-year-olds, are having sex. The study shows half of all students have had intercourse by the end of high school, and it's not uncommon in sixth grade.
Last month the school system spent thousands of dollars to let 13 year old girls carry around electronic babies home for the week end. Supposedly to let these children know what it feels like to be a mom. What a load of bullshit, what does that have to go with sex education. And why would the school system do this don't children have enough shit to worry about already. Yeah! Teach them how to be a mom that's 50% having sex, but 85% of them can't read or write.
Do they think teenagers think about having babies when they have sex, hell no. Everybody knows that sex and having babies are not the same. Teens are simply going to have sex. Nothing anyone can say is going to stop them. They are slaves to their hormones and must obey. Therefore the message should be geared toward instructing them to be responsible in their behavior and encourage them to engage in safe sex. While condoms might reduce the risk of pregnancy and then only when used consistently and properly, they do not eliminate it. When it comes to sexually transmitted diseases, they are less effective.
One reason for the increase in teen sex and pregnancy rate is the government's policy of giving a 16 year old single mother a council flat/house. That is a huge incentive for someone to get pregnant early. Take away the incentives and you'll take away a lot of the pregnancies. You'll never stop teens from having sex, but you can stop making it profitable for them.
I heard a 12 year old say that just the other day. When she gets older she's going to have a child to get a house and food stamps. Back in the 80's and 90's that's what girls did to have something. It's a damn shame for a 22 year old women to have 5 children, each with different daddies. So it's true you just can't fuck one, huh!.
I'm not surprised at all. We live in a hyper sexualized society. Every pop song, every program aimed at teenagers, everything has a relationship/sex theme to it. The only aspirations of many school kids these days are to have sex or get into a relationship. Its very sad and also very basic after all, we're human beings not animals.
